The Director of Royal Malaysian Customs Department Penang, Tuan Abdul Halim bin Ramli made an official visit to the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT) on 16 June 2020. He was greeted by Penang Port Commission (PPC) General Manager, Puan Monaliza binti Suhaimi, Chief Executive Officer of Penang Port, Mr. Sasedharan Vasudevan and senior officers of PPC and Penang Port.
During the visit, he was briefed on the operation of Penang Port including future development and measures taken to handle Covid-19 pandemic during Movement Control Order (MCO).
Later he was taken for a short tour to the control tower to observe the container handling operation at NBCT.
